More top Lancashire wedding venues

It seemed like a simple enough plan. I pick my 5 favourite Lancashire wedding venues of the past 12 months and share them with you. So I did. And then it occurred to me that I’d left these out…

Bartle Hall Wedding Venue Preston

Bartle Hall, Preston
And the winner of most popular venue of 2013 (if my booking list was anything to go by) is Bartle Hall. I’ve lost count of the number of Preston weddings I’ve photographed here, but it’s a great choice – not just for brides and grooms like Amanda and Ben, but for Preston photographers like me, because I live just down the road. Ahem.

The Villa, Wrea Green
When Cara married footballer Chris Beardsley (Preston North End footballer, although he’s currently on loan at Bristol Rovers) there was plenty to celebrate. And for this Lancashire wedding photographer, the best day of the summer and the most photogenic page boy ever were just two of them.

Gibbon Bridge, Ribble Valley
If you’re undecided as to your wedding venue and you’re looking for something grand yet welcoming and set in gorgeous countryside, then investigate the Ribble Valley and Trough of Bowland. This was Gemma and Rick’s wedding at Gibbon Bridge (a lovely place just on the edge of Chipping), but I could just as easily have chosen:

• Salmesbury Hall
• Haighton Manor
• The Great Hall at Mains
• Mitton Hall
• Farrington Lodge
• Whalley Abbey

All of them great Lancashire wedding venues. And all of them worth a look.

Chateau la Durantie, Dordogne
I know. It’s not Lancashire, but then it’s not every day you get to wander the grounds of gorgeous French chateau. Amy and Cory’s wedding was everything a wedding should be: bathed in sunshine, largely outdoors, wonderfully friendly and a wedding photographer’s dream.

Are you getting married at Brockholes?
You name it, if it’s a Lancashire wedding venue I’ve done it. Except, that is, for this one. If you’re planning your wedding at Brockholes this year, then I’d love to be a part of it. Do give me a call or drop me a line here.
